Johnson is Dean of the School of Medicine at European University Cyprus (EUC), where she has transformed medical education through a spiral, competency-based curriculum with early clinical exposure, clerkship rotations, and simulation-based learning. Under her leadership, EUC’s medical school earned accreditation from the World Federation of Medical Education.

Trained in Functional Neuroanatomy and Psychoneuroendocrinology at the University of Maryland and the NIH, Professor Johnson is an expert in neuroscience, stress physiology, and medical education. She has published over 280 scientific papers with 11,000+ citations, authored influential textbooks including a neuroanatomy text, and contributed to leading publications like Gray’s Anatomy for Students.
